Volunteer Day – Stall Holder Guidance
Thank you for taking part in our Volunteer Day. We are looking forward to welcoming you and showcasing the fantastic work of local VCS organisations. This event is an opportunity to engage with the public, promote volunteering opportunities, and connect with other organisations.
Arrival & Set-Up
- Arrival time: Please arrive after 9:00am to begin setting up your stall.
- Directions : The Market Hall is located at Lockmeadow, Barker Road, ME16 8LW. At Barker Road pass the front entrance of Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre on your left. Turn left at the mini roundabout, then left again into the Lockmeadow car park. The Market Hall building will be straight in front of you. Stay right of the building where you can park alongside the building and access the doors to unload.
- Event staff will be on hand to direct you to your allocated space inside the hall.
- Please aim to be fully set up and ready by 9:50am ahead of doors opening at 10:00am.
- We kindly ask that all stall holders remain in place for the full duration of the event where possible.
Event Timings
- Event opens to the public: 10:00am
- Event closes: 2:00pm
- Pack down: From 2:00pm onwards
What to Bring
- To help you make the most of your stall, please bring:
- A tablecloth for your display table. Market stalls will be provided but a table cover is recommended.
- A fold-up chair for your comfort
- Any promotional materials, leaflets, or sign-up forms, promotional items
- Any equipment you need to engage attendees.
Displays & Equipment
- There is space available for banners and display materials
- You are welcome to bring small equipment or props to showcase your work
- Please ensure all displays are safe, stable, and do not obstruct walkways
General Information
- This is an indoor event at Market Hall, Lockmeadow
- Please ensure your area is kept tidy and accessible throughout the day
- Be prepared to speak to members of the public about volunteering opportunities and your organisation’s work
- There is a café onsite available for refreshments
- Toilets available
Stamp Card
- Visitors to the event will be given a stamp card. Every time a visitor engages with your organisation’s stall please stamp/sign their card. They will also collect a stamp/signature when attending one of the talks at the Talk Space (schedule to be confirmed).
- Once a card is completed with all 5 boxes stamped or signed, it can then be entered into a prize draw to win £100 shopping voucher.

- Members of the organising team will be present throughout the event. If you need assistance at any point, please don’t hesitate to ask
